Drawbridge to Ołowianka

The pedestrian footbridge over the Motława River connecting the Ołowianka island with the Old Town, specifically with the Rybackie Pobrzeże, is located in front of the Baltic Philharmonic building on Ołowianka.

The footbridge is one of the possible routes from the PKP railway station to our hostel in Gdańsk at Szafarnia 10 street.

Schedule for raising the footbridge during the period from April 1 to October 31, 2024

The footbridge is available for pedestrian traffic at the following times:

7:30 - 8:00
8:30 - 9:00
9:30 - 10:00
10:30 - 11:00
11:30 - 12:00
12:30 - 13:00
13:30 - 14:00
14:30 - 15:00
15:30 - 16:00
16:30 - 17:00
17:30 - 18:00
18:30 - 19:00
19:30 - 20:30
21:00 - 22:00
22:30 - 23:00
23:30 - 7:00*

*Between 0:00 – 7:00 the footbridge is raised upon request by a watercraft.

Note: The times indicated do not include the time needed for the operation of raising and lowering the footbridge span. This process takes about 5 minutes.

ATTENTION! Due to ongoing construction work on the Motława quay, which is also carried out from the river side and requires the use of watercraft, the schedule for raising the footbridge to Ołowianka has been modified. Currently, a new quay structure is being built by, among others, concreting and installing new reinforcement. Part of the work is carried out underwater. Therefore, on selected days during concreting work, the opening time of the footbridge for navigation may be extended by an additional 10 minutes.
