Uphagen House

Uphagen House

A historic tenement house located at 12 Długa Street in Gdańsk. It used to be the seat of Jan Uphagen. Currently, it is the Museum of Bourgeois Interiors. You will learn how the inhabitants of Gdańsk used to live at the end of the 18th century. Jan Uphagen included in his will the establishment of a foundation to keep his house intact. The names of the rooms come from thematic paintings on the paneling. The rooms of "insects", "flowers" and "birds" reflect the specific taste of the owner.
